Happy Wednesday Dear Reader and fellow Deskers I hope that you are all well? I must say i am loving these lovely sunny days that we are having at the moment, its so nice to see the sun.
So here is my desk on Tuesday afternoon; the only thing that has changed this morning is that i have started to tidy it up, since being in the new craft room i have been making myself tidy up before starting a new project, and for the most part its working …mostly! lol
{full view from the door way}
{one close up taken standing on tippy toes}
Big shot, dies, Gilmore Girls Dvd’s, some bits of card stock prepped for a class, my eeyore tsum tsum, laptop {or better known as distraction device!}
{even closer look}
Under the orange card stock is a card sample for my next class, the Elsa picture was from when i was colouring with my girls over the weekend i need to finish her sleeves i was teaching my eldest how to make shadows and how you add different tones, all with Crayola pencils {quite impressed as only children's art supplies} box of smelly menthol tissues {my fave}, ideas not book {covered by me} big pot a sequins, lots of left over patterned paper. and my to do list.
Cor a lot going on really in that picture! I shall be finishing tidying up today in between desk hopping, so that i can start planning and prepping my next card.
That's it from me today, thank you for all who visit my blog and comment i really love reading them and appreciate the time you took to comment.
Until next time

What a busy desk, looks very productive. Have a very happy WOYWW Helen #5
ReplyDeleteOOOH I do like all the views we got today. Great things going on here. As for tyding up...I have to do that at least 3 times a day or my desk becomes a Bermuda Triangle of its own creation and it eats scissors etc...#18
ReplyDeletelol i am always losing my scissors too but more often to the hubby who should know better!! :)
Deleteamazing isn't it, what photos reveal..from the doorway view, I thought your desk was tidy and ready for round two..then you zoom in and innocent bits of card are hiding other things. Id on't think Id use all those sequins in a lifetime, are they fro sewing or paper I wonder?!
ReplyDeletesequins are for shaker cards Julia, i am mad for the sparkles atm :)
DeleteIt's all in the perspective isn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteWe with windows over the desk are very lucky, I think.
Happy WOYWW!

i love having a window view at the moment a songthrush is hopping about on the lawn hunting worms :)
DeleteIt will be interesting to see how you fill that empty wall ..... I can't see mine as the shelves multiplied and filled!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week

Great views today and it looks like a sunny day. I love those menthol tissues too! Great for my colds and allergies. Diane #28
ReplyDeleteWhat great idea teaching your gal how to shade properly..she'll have that skill for life now and it'll really help her in art at school too. When I was a TA, I found that kids really are keen to learn proper techniques, watercolour washes for example, you don't have to dumb down art for them, that's for sure :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 13 xx
i am very much a believer in not dumbing down anything for the girls i just give them the information that they can manage at their ages :) thanks for your visit Jan x
DeleteGreat to have your own space and even lovelier with all that light streaming in. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteFiona #27
How wonderful the light is from the windows there! I love to be able to look up and see what is going on outside my window. Your desk looks very busy.
ReplyDeleteGlenda #33
I envy you havong a space of your own :) and agree with the clearing up in between projects. It's lovely to place the new blank project on the blank desk and start taking the scissors out from their drawer...
ReplyDeleteHappy woyww! Kristiina #10
It's definitely nice to start a new project on a clean desk and I hope your good intentions last! mine never do.
ReplyDeleteStill it's better to be busy on an untidy than tidy and nothing happening Lol.
Have a great woyww. Sending hugs, Angela x 30
I love having a window view too happy WOYWW xxoo
ReplyDeletePeggy #46
A very busy looking desk. Thanks for letting us take a peek. Happy WOYWW! #26
ReplyDeleteI ususally tidy up right after I finished a project... and sometimes in between too. I'm such a neat girl, I hate it myself sometimes but this is how I work. And yes, we are enjoying some much needed sunshine in the Netherlands too, hooray! it makes the days (and the mood) so much brighter, isn't it?!! Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #38
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bright sunny desk! In my room, the light is behind me, not much to look at except the TV which I'm usually ignoring - I like to have the sound while I'm working! How wonderful of you to be teaching your children the tricks of lighting and shading! Maybe they will follow in your footsteps! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #51
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely Else picture you have there. It is so gratifying to teach a child something you have learned...passing the baton, That is if the child actually listens and learns what you have so sagely shared LOL Happy WOYWW :) Shel@PaperOctilloStudio #54
ReplyDeleteHave fun tidying and getting ready for the next project. Your Elsa is looking very nice.
ReplyDeleteHappy Woyww,

Love the two views :D And that window - oh my goodness what a great spot for your desk!
ReplyDeleteI was just watching a Project Life You Tube vid were the person had made a sequin shaker thing to put in one of the pockets - I think I will have to have a go at that!

that looks so brave to have your sequins in an open container. ( I am kinda klutzy so, I'd knock it over most likely on the distraction box for sure) :) oh wow the light coming through that window is amazing :) thanks for the earlier visit. ~Stacy #53
ReplyDeleteSuch a lot going on! I like the colouring and think it's great that your daughter is so keen to learn shading and different techniques - it sounds like you have another artist in the family! Have a great week,

What a lovely space you have there, by the window! I spotted a posh desk chair too (I like). I was just wondering what an eeyore tsum tsum was.... I know Eeyore is a Winny the Poo character, but a tsum tsum?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and kind comment,
Have a good week,

I love window desks, will you show us whats outside your window next time you take the photo? Love all the wood in your craft area
ReplyDeleteBridget #1
Oh what a wonderful craft space and window.
ReplyDeleteHugs diane
It's amazing how much you can hide on a desk until you do the close up. That's why I tend to do long shots:) It's lovely when your kids like to colour with you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and don't waste too much time cleaning it up, it's more fun to mess it up and create :)
Von #9
Happy WOYWW Charlie and thanks for the visit. I work with that idea to clean up after each project and it works and I'm much happier and remember where stuff is. Have a great week RobynO#24

What fab big photos and what a fab window to be sat up to. So much natural light - am envious as my window looks out on another room.
ReplyDeleteYou know when I have time I love to colour with pencils, surprising how much detail you can get in. Enjoy!
